Premium film and series services by country

The choice of paid film and series services in the UK is bigger than ever. Taking them all at once is expensive, and usually unnecessary. This overview explains what each service offers, who it suits best and how to rotate smartly.

Every service's catalogue changes constantly. This overview is based on public information as of September 2026.

How to save

  1. Pick one or two services you use every week.
  2. Rotate by season: take a service for the series that's on now, cancel, then take the next one.
  3. Check your viewing history every few months: anything you don't open can go.
  4. Combine with a broad base for live TV and a large film and series library.

Remember that in the UK you need a TV Licence to watch live TV on any service, and to use BBC iPlayer.
